Centro Saturday: Tour, Ride and Story Time

What do you get when you combine a bus, a library and books? You get Centro Saturday at the Liverpool Public Library! 

The LPL has partnered with the Central New York Regional Transit Authority (Centro) to share knowledge about Centro buses and what they can offer to our community. On Saturday, Sept. 16, patrons are invited to take a bus tour, ride around the village and listen to a story time, all to be held on a Centro Bus at the LPL. The event begins at 10 a.m. in front of the LPL. Patrons of all ages are invited to tour the bus from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Following the tour, the bus will take a short ride around the village from 10:30 to 10:40 a.m. The event will conclude with a story time on the bus from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. 

“We’re excited to begin this partnership with Centro,” said LPL Director Susan Reckhow. “Following recent community engagement efforts at our library, we saw an opportunity for a collaboration with Centro, our library, and by extension, our community. This partnership presents a chance to showcase our transit system and bring an awareness of how our community can benefit from it.”
