Movies make magic

MovieDVDsLibrarians work hard to build a great movie collection at the LPL.

The newer DVDs and Blu-Rays go into the MediaBank. They can are reserved via the website and PIN, and then picked up at the machine in the main room in the LPL.

Others go to the shelves in the main room. Those can also be reserved via the online catalog and then picked up at the Customer Service Desk.

Enjoy movies and TV shows at home via the Internet

If you have high speed Internet with WiFi at home, you can check out the LPL Roku LT and hook it up to your home TV to watch your choice of movies and TV shows from Netflix. The Liverpool Public Library provides the Netflix subscription - you provide the TV, WiFi, and popcorn. Reserve the ROKU. 

Jump into the movie stream with hoopla! Everybody with an LPL card and PIN can access hoopla. The service includes many movies available for streaming on your phone, tablet or computer.

LPL cardholders can stream as many as seven movies or other hoopla media available on the site per month.

 

 

On the Screen in the Carman Community Room

PopcornFilm fans have plenty of opportunity to catch their favorites with free admission right here at the LPL's Carman Community Room.

Librarians schedule interesting movies for each series as soon as they are available for projection in high definition of the big screen.

Free popcorn and beverages are always provided.

The regular movie series are:

Foreign and Independent Films: Monday evenings.

Movies Based on Books: Friday afternoons.

New Movie Releases: Tuesday afternoons and Thursday evenings. The Tuesday afternoon showings are closed-captioned.
