The five practices of Reading, Talking, Singing, Writing and Playing with your child every day help develop the foundational skills that they need to be Ready to Read.
The LPL employs these principles at our various Storytimes. Click here to find specific days and times of the sessions on our calendar page.

NEW! MAY 2020
Liverpool Public Library is excited to announce that we will now be using READsquared instead of Beanstack to log books in our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program!
Simply go to lpl.ny10.readsquared.com and register yourself and your child. Then start reading! For every 100 books that you read to your child, s/he will get a prize from the library!
Already have an account on Beanstack with LPL? These accounts will no longer be active but we can get you caught up in READsquared with a simple email to our staff (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Prefer to keep a paper log? That's fine too! Just bring it in when the library reopens and we will get you the appropriate prizes.
All children from birth to age 5 throughout Onondaga County are eligible to receive a free age-appropriate book monthly through the Literacy Coalition of Onondaga County.
It's part of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program.
Here's how it works:
