Renovations: Phase Two
PHASE TWO: MAIN ROOM
The low bids for Phase Two were accepted by the Board of Trustees on Wednesday, May 8.
The “footprint” of the main room will remain the same with major improvements. It will receive new paint and carpeting and furniture. There will be a centrally located circulation and reference area, more seating for small groups and individual work, improved lighting and additional quiet spaces.
There will be a new room earmarked for creative learning. The integrity of the physical collections will remain as well as public computers and other services. This project will come at no additional cost to taxpayers. The library fund balance and grant money will be used.
Construction projects can be fluid. We expect some modifications to the plans above. We will update the pages on this site and alert patrons via our social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram when information becomes available.
The main room is anticipated to reopen in late October.
