Books:
Peek-A-Zoo (Cimarusti)
Dear Zoo (Campbell)

Hello everybody and how are you?
How are you, how are you?
Hello everybody and how are you?
How are you today?

Here is my book
I open it wide
To see the pictures
That are inside

Where is Baby? Where is Baby?
There you are, there you are
I’m so glad to see you!
I’m so glad to see you!
Peek-a-boo! I see you!
(scarf)
Giddyap, giddyap, ride to town,
Giddyap, giddyap, up and down.
Giddyap fast,
Giddyap slow,
Giddyap, giddyap, giddyap, WHOA!

Put your scarf in the air, in the air
Put your scarf in the air, in the air
Put your scarf in the air,
now rub it in your hair
Put your scarf in the air, in the air
Put your scarf on your knees…
and wave it in the breeze
Put your scarf on your nose…
And see if it grows

This is the way we shake our eggs
Shake our eggs, shake our eggs
This is the way we shake our eggs
So early in the morning
This is the way we shake them high...low...fast...slow

If all the raindrops
Were lemon drops and gum drops
Oh, what a rain it would be
I’d stand outside with my mouth open wide--
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah
If all the raindrops
were lemon drops and gum drops
Oh what a rain it would be
If all the snowflakes were candy bars
and milkshakes
Oh, what a snow it would be! …
If all the sunbeams were bubble gum
 and ice cream
Oh, what a day it would be! …

Kookaburra sits on an old gum tree
Merry, merry king of the bush is he.
Laugh Kookaburra, laugh Kookaburra
Gay your life must be.
Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree
Eating all the gumdrops he can see
Stop Kookaburra, stop Kookaburra
Leave some there for me.
Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree
Counting all the monkeys he can see
Stop Kookaburra, stop Kookaburra
That’s not a monkey, that’s me!

The giraffe is as tall as tall can be
He eats the leaves right off the tree
His neck is long, his legs are too;
And he can run faster than me or you!

The elephants at the zoo,
The elephants at the zoo
They stomp and stomp
and stomp and stomp
The elephants at the zoo
The lions at the zoo…roar
The monkeys at the zoo…jump

The elephant goes like this and that
He’s terrible big and he’s terrible fat
He has no fingers
He has no toes
But goodness gracious, what a nose!

As high as a house
As small as a mouse
As wide as a barn
As thin as a pin

The more we get together
Together, together
The more we get together
The happier we’ll be
‘Cause your friends are my friends
And my friends are your friends
The more we get together
The happier we’ll be!

Thanks for sharing stories and rhymes with me!
