LPL’s Mobile Library Services team is busy bringing the best of LPL to your door! Learn more about where to find us and how to request LPL at your event or business.
We offer several different types of visits. Which best suits your needs?
Our Visit Types:
- READY, SET, READ Visit: We’re bringing the joy of early learning to you! From stories and crafts to sensory play and caregiver workshops, we’ll provide everything needed to spark curiosity and grow future readers.
- CUSTOM LIBRARY Visit: We’ll bring the library’s resources and creativity straight to you. We’ll collaborate to create a custom event designed for your participants’ interests. Library cards can be issued and select books or materials may be checked out during the visit.
- POP UP Visit: Our friendly staff will ‘pop up’ at your event to share resources, issue library cards, and offer quick, engaging activities like trivia or STEM challenges. Guests can stop by to discover what their library can do for them.
- LIBRARY LOOP Visit: We’ll deliver a curated selection of books and materials for your group to enjoy between visits. When we return, we’ll refresh your collection with new titles and topics. Books will be checked out to your organization, which will be responsible for timely returns on our next visit. (LPL2GO: Tech Van only)
- LIBRARY ON THE GO (Bookmobile) Visit: Step inside our Mobile Library to browse shelves of great reads, check out your next favorite book, or sign up for a library card. You might even catch a special event or activity happening right on board. (LPL2Go: Mobile Library only.)
LPL2Go is the Liverpool Public Library’s (LPL) mobile library service, featuring two vehicles: the LPL2Go: Tech Van and the LPL2Go: Mobile Library. Both vehicles operate in accordance with all LPL policies, which can be found on our website at lpl.org/about-lpl/about-us/policies.

Where do the LPL2Go vehicles go?
Both vehicles follow a regular schedule of weekly and monthly stops within the Liverpool Central School District boundaries. They may also participate in community events. Some stops are open to the public, while others are reserved for specific groups, such as schools, daycares, or nursing homes.
Can my organization request a regular stop?
Yes! Sites interested in regular weekly or monthly stops must be located within the Liverpool Central School District (LCSD) — the area that LPL is chartered to serve. Fill out a Mobile Library Request Form to get the process started.
How does LPL decide which stop requests to approve?
The library reserves the right to accept or deny requests based on factors such as:
- Location
- Staffing levels
- Event purpose
- Safety or other relevant concerns
What are the parking and space requirements?
All stops must provide:
- Adequate parking space for the requested LPL vehicle (1-5 parking spaces for the LPL2GO: Tech Van and 8-10 parking spaces for the LPL2GO: Mobile Library)
- Safe entry and exit areas for both patrons and library staff
- Restrooms available for library staff
- Parking for patrons
Can a stop be discontinued?
Yes. The LPL reserves the right to cancel a regularly scheduled stop if participation or usage becomes too low to justify continued service. Stops are evaluated regularly.
What situations could cause an unexpected cancellation?
Individual stops may be canceled due to:
- Extreme weather that risks health or safety
- Hazardous driving conditions
- Unforeseen staffing shortages
- Vehicle or equipment maintenance or repair
- Closure of the Liverpool Public Library’s main location
How will I know if a stop or event is canceled?
Updates and changes to public events or stops will be posted on the library website and social media, and will also be communicated directly to the site host.

We provide a curated collection of large print books, DVDs, audiobooks and more for residents to enjoy without leaving the facility.
Public Locations throughout the Liverpool Area
Our traveling library visits area parks, concerts, festivals and other gatherings. We bring a selection of fiction and nonfiction books in addition to age-appropriate activities.
Your spot!
We can visit your site with carefully curated book selections, activities like story times, book clubs, trivia, and more. Just ask! Please submit a Mobile Library Request Form at least 30 days before your event if you would like the Liverpool Public Library to attend.
