When Stickers Don't Stick

by Keith Gatling | 5 years ago

In the upper left-hand corner of the windshield of my van are two stickers. One tells me when to come back for my next oil change and the other tells me when to come back to have my tires rotated (I know…you’d think they’d get rotated enough from all that spinning).

Or really, I should say that in the upper left-hand corner of my windshield there should be two stickers with that information. Because, quite frankly, sometimes those static cling stickers don’t do a good job of sticking at all, and fall off when you don’t notice. Or maybe they stay on the windshield as they should, but they spend so much time there in the sun (yes, Virginia, there is sun in Central New York) that the important information fades to the point of becoming unreadable.

Either way, you’re left without having the information you so desperately need in order to take care of your car properly.

How can you solve this problem?

Once again it’s your cellphone camera to the rescue!

The moment I get a new sticker on my windshield, I take a picture of it. Then I put the new picture in an album called Van Maintenance and delete the old one.

If you do this, you won’t have to worry about those stickers anymore!

Unless you lose your camera.
