We're not saying this will be included in the event. We are saying it's part of the rich history of the Village of Liverpool.

It’s time again to test your knowledge of the Village of Liverpool’s history … and put your racing maneuvers on the line, too.

The Liverpool Public Library’s Local History Scavenger Hunt will combine smarts and speed.

Participants will be provided a list of clues that will prompt them to identify landmarks around the village. The first to reach all the landmarks on the list and bring a photo back to the LPL by phone or camera will win a prize. Players can compete as part of a team or as an individual. The event starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 19. Find out more here.

“I am excited to be reviving the library’s very popular Local History Scavenger Hunt,” said programming staffer Cindy Hibbert. “Participants of previous hunts had a fabulous time racing the clock and each other, unraveling the clues to be first in discovering historic locations. Liverpool history is full of interesting people, places and traditions. Those who enter the race will see Liverpool in a new light every time they travel the village streets.”
