Go Blue 4 Kids Carries a Powerful Message
Take a good look at the blue pinwheels set up in the LPL gardens that flank the building on Tulip and Second streets.
Four volunteers from the Foundation of Women's Clubs lovingly set them up on Wednesday, April 10.
The impetus for the placement came from a conversation with LPL children's librarian Joellyn Murry. The volunteer was impressed with the library's events, programs and mission for children.
April is Childhood Abuse Prevention Month, and Go Blue 4 Kids is a program under the umbrella of the McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center.
The LPL is proud to be part of the effort.
