Want to Volunteer at the Library?

Shelf Reading VolunteerThere are a few different options for teens who want to volunteer at he library.

1) Are you a Liverpool High School senior that needs to volunteer a total of five hours? If so, the library offers teens a chance to fufill their volunteer hours by shelf reading. During the school year, the teen librarian holds training sessions once a month for seniors interested in shelf reading. Before you can recieve any credit, you must first attend one of these training sessions. Check out Liverpool Public Library's calendar of events to see when the next training session is.

2) If you wish to do ongoing volunteer work at the library, please refer to the following page and fill out the online application. http://www.lpl.org/about-the-library/volunteering

3) You could be a teen summer volunteer. Summer volunteers help the children's librarians with their various summer programs. If you're interested  in this option, please contact the teen librarian between May 1st and June 1st of each year. We have filled all our volunteer slots for this summer 2015!

Teen Summer Volunteers Needed

Teens in grades 9-12 are welcome to volunteer, preference will be given to students in the Liverpool Central School District.
