Lend a helping paw! There will be a collection barrel for canned dog and cat food, toys, cleaning supplies - especially laundry detergent - and used, clean towels, sheets, blankets & comforters. For a list of other items, read more below, visit the Humane Association website or pick up a list at the library.


Liverpool AFOL (Adult Fans of LEGO®) and Games Too!

It's LEGO for grown-ups! For anyone over 18 who likes to build with LEGOs no matter what skill level. If you're not a LEGO fan and want to play games instead, we will have a variety of board games and the Wii will be set up or bring your own game to share.

Geocaching!  Now you can get out and try geocaching around Onondaga Lake Park with one of the library's new OnSafari Geocaching Kits. In addition, the library has hidden five caches in Onondaga Lake Park.  If you already have your own GPS - more information on the caches can be found at geocaching.com. Enter the Liverpool zip code (13088) in the search field and look for the OnSafari with Liverpool Library caches.



Visit from Assemblyman Roberts

librarycardwebblarneywebjpgAssemblymember Sam Roberts (D,WF-Syracuse) and his wife Leonna visited the library on Thursday and took a quick tour; stops included the MediaBank, the Kodak photo scanner, Blarney's house, and an overview of the library's online services. Before leaving, he picked up his new Liverpool Library card and key tag from Library Director Jean Armour Polly.

Key Tags and New Library Cards Are Now Available!

Library Key Tags/Library Cards are now available at the check out desk.
You can trade in your white card for one of three new designs featuring  a cat, dog or library logo.
There is no charge for the new cards and they can be used at any Onondaga County library.



Library Trustees Tim Dodge (dog card owner) and Natalie Scavone (cat card owner) joined library director Jean Polly (center) in getting new library cards at the Celebrate Liverpool Elementary K-2, the kickoff event when kids were invited to stop in get their first library cards and enjoy storytelling by school librarians. Over 100 kids came in to get cards.
