Job Openings at LPL
We have several part-time job openings at the library:
Part-Time Reference Librarian I Effective date 5/4/15
A vacancy exists for a permanent Part-Time Reference Librarian I and other duties as assigned. The schedule will include nights and weekends for an average of 15-19 hours weekly. Minimum qualifications for this position: Possession of a valid NYS Public Librarian's Professional Certificate from the New York State Education Department.
Part-time Page Effective Immediately
A permanent part-time Page for 15-24 hours weekly. Schedule will include Monday and Thursday evenings 4-9pm, Wednesdays 2-7pm and some Saturday hours.
Substitute Library Clerk I Effective immediately
Substitute Library Clerk I who would be available if needed during daytime hours.

Drop Off Your Unserviceable American Flags at the Library
Through May 17, residents can drop off their unserviceable American Flags at the Customer Service Desk at the library. We will be collecting tattered, worn or faded American Flags in preparation for the Memorial Day Watchfire and flag retirement ceremony.
The flags will be burned during a flag retirement ceremony taking place May 24, at the Veterans Memorial Watchfire Park at the NYS Fairgrounds. The pyre and respectful burning of flags begins at dusk (approx. 8pm).
Public Hearing on Library Budget: May 6, 2015
Wednesday, May 6 at 6:30 PM
The Liverpool Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on the library budget on Wednesday, May 6 at 6:30 PM in the Carman Community Room. The Library is located at 310 Tulip Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. Budget information is available at this link or in the library.

If you're having a problem with technology, then we have good news for you: in addition to being available for help on an appointment basis, our tech guru Mr G is available on a regular basis for drop-in help on a first-come, first-served basis on the following dates from 2-5pm:
